Stuff I LoveBusiness tools that will improve your productivity or help you run your business
Zoom is my go to video conferencing software.
It uses much less bandwidth than Skype and allows multiple options for viewing and recording conversations.
Snagit is my Screenshot tool for documenting business procedures.
If anyone ever tells you that the Snipping tool is the same, send them my way. Snagit is so much more powerful, allowing you to set capture settings, annotate your images and edit in the tool rather than having to take repeated shots to get the right image.
Entrepreneurial goodness for bold, creative, daring entrepreneurial women all over the world.
Acuity is my choice for calendar scheduling tools.
My clients can book appts at a time convenient to them and reschedule without multiple back and forth emails.
I can block out times for different appointment types and charge directly from Acuity without needing to issue an invoice.
I edit all of my videos in Camtasia.
I can add intro and outro slides, annotate my video, add animations and change audio levels in specific sections.
Create simple unique and short urls with Bit.ly. It also tracks your clicks so works great as a simple analytics tool.
If you have multiple online tools, then integration is key. Some tools have built in integrations for common partner tools, but Zapier takes care of the rest.
Zapier saves me so much time.
I install Fences on any new PC I get.
It organises all of my desktop shortcuts into "Fences" and keeps it tidy.
Track My Subs is an awesome app that helps you keep track of all your subscriptions. You can track when they're due for renewal, make notes about why you signed up in the first place and set your own email reminders (for yourself, your partner, your bookkeeper) at a date of your choosing.
Save money by finding subscriptions you no longer need and keep track of your outgoings.
